About K-Pop Compass

K-Pop Compass is an independent English-language K-pop blog for international fans — the kind of site we wanted when we were trying to figure out what a "comeback" meant, why everyone was trading tiny photos, and which rookie group to start with.

What We Cover

How We Work

We follow a fixed editorial process, and we think readers deserve to know exactly what it is:

  1. Every factual claim is verified before publication. Member lineups, debut dates, chart results, and tour dates are checked against official agency announcements, verified artist channels, and established outlets. If we can't verify something, it doesn't go in the article.
  2. A human reviews and edits every post before it publishes. Nothing goes live automatically. Where research tools assist with drafting or fact-finding, the result is checked, rewritten, and approved by a person.
  3. Uncertainty is stated, not hidden. When a detail is reported but not officially confirmed, we say so. When an agency has explicitly declined to confirm something, we quote that rather than filling the gap with speculation.
  4. Corrections are made in place. Group lineups change, tours add dates, and news moves. Posts carry an updated date when revised.

What We Don't Publish

Independence

K-Pop Compass is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any entertainment agency, artist, or label. Coverage decisions are ours alone. The site is supported by advertising, which never influences what we write — see our privacy policy for how advertising works here.
