Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information K-Pop Compass ("we," "us") collects when you visit kpopcompass.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep this deliberately short and specific — we don't collect more than we need to run a blog.
Information We Collect
We do not ask you for personal information. There are no accounts, no newsletter sign-ups, and no comment forms on this site, so we never request your name, email address, or payment details.
Information is collected automatically in two ways:
- Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and understand which articles readers find useful. It is a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service that does not build cross-site profiles of visitors.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes technical data such as IP address, browser type, and requested page in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Advertising and Cookies
We display advertising supplied by third parties in order to keep this site free to read. In connection with advertising:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
- You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Embedded Content
Articles on this site embed videos from YouTube. When an embedded video loads, YouTube may set cookies and collect data according to Google's Privacy Policy. We have no access to or control over that data.
Data Sharing and Retention
We do not sell, rent, or trade reader data. We do not maintain a customer database. Aggregate analytics are retained only for as long as they are useful for improving the site.
Children's Privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data relating to you. Because we do not collect identifiable personal information directly, such requests will usually concern data held by our service providers (Vercel, Google). You can contact us using the details on our contact page and we will help where we can.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted clearly.
