TNX Ultimate Guide: Members, Music & "Die Another Day"
TNX explained — PSY's first boy group, the LOUD origin, a lineup that went from six to five, and what their third single's title is borrowing.
TNX announced their comeback at midnight KST on August 20, 2026: a third digital single, “Die Another Day,” arriving August 27 at 6 PM KST, introduced with concept photos leaning hard into black.
Here’s the group behind it, and what that title is actually borrowing.
Who Are TNX?
P NATION’s first boy group — the label founded by PSY — formed through the SBS survival programme LOUD, an unusual collaboration between J.Y. Park and PSY that had two of Korean pop’s biggest figures scouting from the same pool.
They debuted on May 17, 2022 with the mini album Way Up.
That origin explains a lot about how the group is positioned. A P NATION act isn’t operating inside the Big Four promotional machine; it’s operating inside a producer-led label whose identity is built around one person’s taste. The upside is a clearer creative signature. The cost is less of the structural push that moves rookie groups quickly.
Members — Read This Part Carefully
TNX is currently a five-member group: Taehun, Hyunsoo, Junhyeok, Hwi, and Sungjun.
The lineup has moved twice, and both moves get misreported:
| When | What happened |
|---|---|
| 2021 (LOUD finale) | Seven trainees selected: Kyungjun, Taehun, Hyunsoo, Junhyeok, Hwi, Sungjun, and Tanaka Koki |
| May 2022 (debut) | Tanaka Koki did not debut, choosing to continue training — the group launched as six |
| Oct 23, 2024 | Kyungjun left the group — the lineup becomes five |
So a group “selected as seven” debuted as six and now promotes as five. If you’re reading older profiles, that’s why the member counts disagree.
Kyungjun’s exit was a departure rather than a hiatus — the two are different contractual states, and we cover the distinction in our guide to what an agency or group change actually means.
What “Die Another Day” Is Borrowing
The title is doing two things at once.
The obvious reference is the 2002 James Bond film of the same name — a title recognisable enough internationally that it arrives pre-loaded with a mood: espionage, sleek threat, high-gloss danger. Paired with all-black concept photos, that’s clearly the register being invoked.
The literal phrase underneath it is older and blunter. “Live to fight another day” — and its inversion, “die another day” — means survive this, postpone the reckoning. It’s the language of someone who hasn’t won, but hasn’t been finished off either.
That reading is worth holding onto, because it fits a group in TNX’s actual position more precisely than the Bond gloss does. Four years in, a lineup down from six to five, on a digital single rather than an album — “not finished yet” is a more honest register than “international superspy.”
Whether the lyrics build on either reading is a separate question. We explain titles and vocabulary here rather than paraphrasing lyric content.
Why English Titles, Again
TNX’s recent releases lean English, which is now the default across K-pop for practical reasons rather than aesthetic ones: an English title is searchable, works as a hashtag, survives chart listings in multiple markets, and doesn’t need translating for the audience most likely to discover a mid-size group through streaming rather than Korean broadcast.
For a group whose domestic promotional footprint is smaller than a Big Four rookie’s, that calculation matters more, not less.

FAQ
How many members does TNX have? Five: Taehun, Hyunsoo, Junhyeok, Hwi, and Sungjun. Kyungjun left on October 23, 2024.
Why do some profiles say six or seven members? Seven trainees were selected at the LOUD finale, but Tanaka Koki chose to keep training rather than debut, so the group launched as six in 2022. Kyungjun’s 2024 departure brought it to five.
Which survival show did TNX come from? SBS’s LOUD, a joint project between J.Y. Park and PSY. TNX became P NATION’s first boy group.
When did TNX debut? May 17, 2022, with the mini album Way Up.
When does “Die Another Day” come out? August 27, 2026 at 6 PM KST. It’s their third digital single.
Is the title a James Bond reference? It shares its name with the 2002 Bond film, and the black concept photos point that way. The underlying English idiom — surviving to face something later — carries its own meaning independent of the film.
Who is P NATION? The label founded by PSY. TNX was its first boy group.
